Helping teachers become the educators their students remember.
My goal: give every teacher I train the skills to design, lead, and inspire — turning good classrooms into unforgettable ones.
At a glance
STEM education is my subject — training the teachers who deliver it is my craft.
I'm Mahmoud Thabet, a STEM Coordinator and educator trainer based in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, with over a decade of experience teaching mathematics and STEM and training the teachers around me to do the same. My work has taken me from department leadership in Egypt to building STEM programs from the ground up at international schools in Saudi Arabia.
I started as a math teacher and department head, moved into a STEAM Coordinator role training lower-school teachers to bring STEM into their classrooms, and now lead STEM coordination at El-Hussan International Academy — designing interdisciplinary projects, running teacher training, and building curriculum that ties STEM concepts to real-world problems. I organized and led the first-ever STEM Fair across the entire Alhussan Group of Schools.
Outside the classroom, I coach student teams into national competitions: I led a team to second place and the Best Design Approach trophy at the Underwater Robotics North Africa competition, and mentored teams to Best Idea and Best Presentation wins at STEM Expo — including a CubeSat space experiment presented to the Egyptian Space Agency's leadership.
